A leading organization in the advanced manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Surface Treatment Manager for the Metal Division. This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of surface treatment processes for metal products, including team leadership, regulatory compliance, process optimization, and interdepartmental coordination to meet production objectives.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Hire, train, and evaluate the surface treatment team.

• Process Management:

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for surface treatment.

  • Monitor and control process parameters to ensure consistent product quality.

  • Analyze and refine processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Safety and Compliance: Promote a safe work environment and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Establish, maintain, and audit quality standards.

  • Address and resolve quality issues promptly.

• Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams for seamless integration of surface treatment processes.

• Vendor and Client Relations:

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors for materials and equipment.

  • Understand and meet client surface treatment requirements.

• Innovation and Technical Support:

  • Stay updated on advancements in surface treatment technologies.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.

  • Provide guidance and support to the team.

• Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of production data, quality reports, and maintenance logs.

  • Prepare and present performance reports to senior management.

  • Ensure all documentation complies with industry regulations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field.

• At least 8 years of experience in surface treatment processes within the metal industry.

• Proven managerial or supervisory experience.

• Strong knowledge of surface treatment techniques, including plating, coating, anodizing, and passivation.

• Proficiency in surface treatment equipment and software.

• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

• Ability to drive and implement change effectively.
