Communications Manager - Global Semiconductor - Up to 12M

This position oversees both internal and external communications across multiple sites in Japan, driving strategies that support employee engagement, leadership messaging, media relations, and brand marketing. The role also involves close collaboration with global teams and senior leadership to ensure consistent and effective messaging aligned with business goals.

Description

• Partner with site leadership and HR to deliver impactful internal communications for sales and manufacturing teams.
• Develop and execute executive communications strategies, tailoring messaging to various channels (e.g., town halls, intranet, leader emails, internal newsletters).
• Plan and lead local brand marketing initiatives that align with recruitment and corporate citizenship goals.
• Build and manage media relations, including handling press inquiries and overseeing a local PR agency.
• Coordinate with global communications, branding, and media teams on company-wide initiatives.
• Provide strategic communications counsel during issue or crisis situations.

• 5+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or media relations.
• Bilingual in English and Japanese, with proven copywriting experience in Japanese.
• Confident communicator with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
• Comfortable working with and advising senior leadership.
• Knowledge of the high-tech or semiconductor industry is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to travel occasionally to regional offices within Japan.
