This is an AgriTech startup aiming to solve agricultural and environmental challenges by combining satellite data (SATELLITE), machine learning (AI), and land parceling technology (GRID).
By providing innovative solutions that support the efficient management and utilization of farmland, they strive to enhance agricultural productivity and improve the quality of life for farmers not only in Japan but around the world. They are now developing an advanced MRV (Measure, Report, and Verify) and decarbonization platform for agricultural enterprises, aimed at revolutionizing sustainability practices in the agricultural sector.
They are seeking a Software Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the development of our innovative AgriTech solutions, with a focus on their new MRV and decarbonization platform.
This platform will integrate advanced AI, satellite remote sensing, and comprehensive carbon footprint tracking to provide a holistic solution for agricultural enterprises, government agencies, and farmers.
[Key Project Focus]
- Development of an AI-driven platform for visualizing and managing Scope 3 Category 1 emissions for large agricultural enterprises
- Creation of mobile and web applications for yield estimation and soil health analysis using satellite data
- Implementation of advanced analytics and machine learning models for emission prediction and reduction recommendations
- Integration of data from various sources including satellite imagery, IoT devices, and local soil analysis facilities
[Responsibilities]
- Develop and maintain key components of our MRV and decarbonization platform
- Work on complex data processing pipelines to handle satellite imagery and IoT data
- Implement machine learning models for yield estimation, soil health analysis, and emission prediction
- Create intuitive user interfaces for both web and mobile applications
- Ensure seamless integration with third-party systems and applications through API development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product development with user needs and regulatory requirements

[Requirements]
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in AgriTech or environmental sustainability sectors
- Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and data processing technologies
- Familiarity with satellite image processing and geospatial data analysis is a plus
- Knowledge of carbon accounting principles and environmental reporting standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Conversational level Japanese language proficiency
