Description

• Lead the implementation of investment risk oversight for Japan-based funds, ensuring alignment with global risk frameworks.
• Review risk metrics, methodologies, and calculations, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor investment mandate adherence and JFSA regulatory requirements, addressing exceptions and breaches.
• Represent the risk function at the local Investment Committee, providing input on new fund launches.
• Collaborate with senior management to shape risk policies and processes in Japan.
• Provide fiduciary investment risk support for international fund management operations.
• Engage with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to enhance governance structures.

• Experience in risk management, compliance, or fund management within asset management or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of investment risk, regulatory frameworks, and risk controls.
• Proven ability to work independently and build out risk functions or frameworks.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese.
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders, regulators, and cross-border teams.
