Front Office Risk @ Global Securities Firm

Play a critical role in the Front Office Risk team, monitoring the risk taking of trading desks /global markets and be involved in projects such as trader stop-loss monitoring, intraday risks and regulatory projects to help align the business with the regulatory framework.

• Understand the Global Markets trading desks risk taking and be able to clearly explain it to key stakeholders.
• Monitor and report any Stop/Loss breaches by traders in Japan, ensuring transparency and prompt escalation.
• Keep track of the overall market and prepare summaries for the weekly risk call.
• Create and update daily risk reports (using Python) to track trading positions and risk trends for both Japan and global markets.
• This role involves multitasking and requires both a general understanding and the ability to dive into technical details when needed.

• Strong Communication skills in English ( and preferably in Japanese)
• Understanding of financial markets and financial products
• Curiosity towards the Global Markets and or Risk & Market Risk function
• Programming skills (python) or an interest in learning these
• JSDA 1 Certificate or willingness to acquire this certificate after joining the team

Experiences in a relevant field would be preferred (Market Risk, Front Office Function, Operations or Technical Functions)
