Cobol Developer – Life Insurance System

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Cobol Developer with expertise in life insurance system development to join our Osaka team. In this role, you will work as part of a dedicated 7-member team, including 1 Project Manager, 2 Software Engineers, and 4 Programmers. This is a long-term project where you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of critical life insurance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cobol Development: Design, develop, and maintain life insurance systems using Cobol.
• System Optimization: Analyze and optimize existing systems for improved performance and scalability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Project Manager, Software Engineers, and Programmers to meet project milestones.
• Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement effective solutions.
• Client Communication: Regularly communicate with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and address challenges.
• Long-Term Contribution: Play a pivotal role in the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of systems for the duration of the project.

Required Qualifications:

• Cobol expertise with hands-on experience in life insurance system development.
• Proficiency in both Japanese and English (bilingual) to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
• Strong ability to work within a collaborative team environment with diverse skill sets.
