Trade Finance Operation (Graduate Trainee)

Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented recent graduate for an 18 month Graduate Trainee Program (with potential for full-time conversion) in Trade Finance Operations department. This position will experience managing a range of trade finance products and work closely with experienced specialists to develop foundational skills for career in trade finance back office, middle office and trade sales.

Description

1. Trade Finance Operations Support:

• Handle end-to-end processes for trade finance products.
• Assist in processing and reviewing transactions.
• Provide client and stakeholder communication related to trade finance operations.

2. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Support senior specialists.
• Assist in reviewing and updating internal/global policies.

3. Client and Process Support:

• Provide process-oriented advice tailored to client's needs.
• Handle incoming calls from clients.

4. Team Collaboration and Projects:

• Assist in ad-hoc projects or initiatives led by the local head.
• Work closely with team members.

Job Offer

• Employment type: Contract (18 months with potential for permanent conversion).
• 8:50-17:15 (adjustments negotiable).
• Holidays: 20 days/year paid leave, paid sick leave (no ceiling: doctor's certificate required after 3 days), family care leave (5 days).
• Discretionary bonus eligibility (subject to head office decision).

• Recent graduate (within 12 months) with a university degree, preferably in Banking, General Management, Business Finance, Social Science or Law.
• Less than 1 year of professional work experience (excluding internships/part-time jobs).
• Familiarity with international banking products.
• High proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Fluent Japanese, Business level English (German is a plus).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
