Job Description

• Support for observability tools including Grafana Loki, Mimir, Tempo & Grafana UI
• Supporting a large user base in managing the transition to modern observability tools and adoption of Open Telemetry
• Managing updates, releases and testing in both production and non-production environments
• Drive adoption of observability practices best across the organization
• Contributing to Observability Standards and Procedures
• Reporting to the Observability Lead in Japan
• Functionally, it reports to the Observability SRE team lead.

Job description

• Supporting the Observability tools including Grafana Loki, Mimir and Tempo & Grafana UI
• Supporting a large user base as they manage their transition to modern observability tools and adoption of Open Telemetry
• Managing updates, releases and testing in both production & non-production environments
• Drive adoption of best practices in Observability across the organization
• Contribute to Observability standards and procedures
• Locally reporting to Japan Observability Lead
• Functionally reporting to head of Observability SRE Team

Requirements:

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise systems ( 3+ years )
• Japanese-English bilingual
• Passionate about delivering high-quality work and learning new technologies
• Strong interpersonal skills and confident communication
• Experience using collaboration tools such as Confluence / JIRA / Microsoft Teams & Office 365
• Ability to take the initiative in investigating and following up on issues with various stakeholders
• Demonstrated understanding of release, deployment and change management processes.
• Self-motivated and quality and improvement oriented
• Self-starter and self-management
• Ability to take initiative to keep their skills up to date and maintain awareness of current technological developments. 
• A strong team player and able to work on a local, regional and global basis.

Language : Business Japanese level N2, Business English level

Qualifications:

• Experience in supporting large enterprise systems ( 3+ years )
• Bilingual skills (Japanese and English)
• Passionate in providing high quality deliverables and learning new technologies
• Strong and confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
• Experience of collaboration tools such as Confluence / JIRA / Microsoft Teams & Office 365
• Able to take the initiative to investigate and follow-up with various stakeholders to resolve issues
• Solid understanding of release, deployment, and change management processes
• Self-motivated individual, quality and improvement focused
• Self-starter and able to self-manage
• Must be able to take initiative to keep own skills up to date and to maintain awareness of current technology developments 
• Good team player, ability to work on a local, regional and global basis and as part of joint cross location initiatives
