SERVICE ENGINEER

Our client in the lifting and material-handling equipment is looking for a service engineer. This role will provide technical support for ‘in service’ machines

Key Responsibilities 

•    Collaborate and communicate effectively with fellow Technical Services, Sales and team members within other business functions
•    Thorough Examination and certification - perform mandatory inspections on all AWP machinery
•    Service and repair of machines at customer locations / sites or facilities as required to ensure conformance with manufacturers specifications and company policy
•    Carry out assessments/inspections and report findings (including BOM, estimated Labour and plan of action) on AWP machinery
•    Interact with fellow team members to ensure accurate and timely sharing of information both technical and commercial
•    Notify appropriate team member of any defective or unsafe equipment
•    Inspect and test wiring and circuitry and replace faulty parts
•    Clean parts and equipment using chemical solutions
•    Apply finishes and surface coatings to products, using chemicals or by spray painting
•    Carry out basic quality checks and support the quality program though closed loop reporting
•    Accurate and timely completion of all relevant reports and documentation in support of standard operating procedures

Key requirements

•    Technical Diploma or Degree in Engineering
•    Driving Licence
•    Valid forklift licence (preferred)
•    Willing to travel when required
