Financial Controller - Retail Brokerage Firm

Company Profile

• Our client is a global start-up retail brokerage firm, with well-established global business.

The Role

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, maintaining global controls and tracking updates.
• Act as the main finance liaison with HQ for tax, ERP coordination, and monthly reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory reports and tax filings.
• Collaborate with other departments, offering financial guidance to support accurate reporting.
• Oversee financial operations, including AP, GL updates, Capex, reconciliations, allocations, and FX adjustments.
• Handle daily analysis, management reporting, and enforce internal controls.
• Analyze budget vs. actuals and develop actionable insights.
• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in payments and timely regulatory submissions.
• Support ERP management and lead external audits and tax reviews.

Your Skills

• 5+ years of accounting & finance experience, ideally coming from consulting firms, financial services, or similar industry
• Management experience would be a plus
• Bilingual proficiency in Japanese & English
