Operation Manager

The Operations Manager will join a global organization to lead and manage the Operations team of customer service, planning, purchasing, and logistics. The operations manager will be involved in day-to-day activities and provide guidance and support to the team and has continuous improvement mindset and drive process improvement initiatives across all functions.

The company is a leading chemical manufacturer that deals in fragrances , aroma compounds , food ingredients, etc. Having offices in approximately 40 countries around the world .

Description

• Lead the operations team to ensure overall efficiency in meeting business goals and objectives.
• Lead the S&OP & SLOB meeting with the commercial team.
• Create purchase requisition & purchase order according to forecast & customer sales order requirement.
• Confirm sales order and follow up with suppliers for delivery improvement.
• Co-ordinate demand forecast system upload with inter-company suppliers.
• Model a strong continuous improvement ethos and actively seek out and lead supply chain improvement initiatives
• Co-ordinating with internal stakeholders and 3rd party warehouse on the receiving and storing of inbound products and ensure all processes are adhered
• Maintain company policies that adhere to local, state, and federal environmental, health and safety regulations in the storing and handling of all materials.
• Manage inventory in line with company objectives (DOH, aging stock, and SLOB)
• Establish activities to monitor performance of 3rd party service providers to achieve expected service levels and to ensure proper inventory control.
• Participate in 3PL/3PW audit.
• Extensive experience in Logistics, Shipping, Transportation, Warehouse and / or Third-Party Warehouse Management with at least 5 years' managerial experience.
• SAP, Microsoft office Excel & Access.
