Sr. Accountant for global luxury brand

Manage financial transactions, tracks inventory costs and ensures accurate reporting of sales and expenses. Analyse financial data to help improve profitability and support budgeting decisions.

A well-known luxury brand, established in the mid-20th century, specialises in high-quality goods and accessories. This brand is known for its contemporary design and has a significant global presence, including multiple boutiques in major cities around the world.

Description

• Maintain the existence, completeness, and accuracy of accounting data.
• Review and check entries that Accountants and part time staff entered to ensure journal.
• Make sure financial statements are all correctly stated and entries are accurate.
• Make sure invoices sent to merchants are accurate and appropriate.
• Supporting tax accounting and reporting via communications with the global and regional headquarters, local tax advisers, and tax authorities (income, consumption, etc.).
• Supporting annual external and internal audits by providing information and responses to auditors.
• Supporting to establish and maintain the internal control environment, including SAP violations.

• 4+ years of Finance experience, preferably in a tangible industry
• JGAAP knowledge
• Fluency in Japanese, both verbally and written
• Business level English
• SAP knowledge would be a plus
