Indirect Buyer @ Chemical Company

Our client is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist for their Japan Hub, responsible for managing the sourcing of indirect procurement products and services (Source to Contract - S2C). This role involves overseeing procurement activities across several production sites in Japan and coordinating with various teams to ensure efficient procurement processes.

Description

• Sourcing for Indirect Procurement:

  • Manage the bidding process for purchase requests (PR) above 5K EUR and below 75K EUR.
  • Handle sourcing activities (Source to Contract - S2C) for assigned products and services within defined thresholds.
  • Initiate the bidding process via SPS, negotiate commercial terms with suppliers, including price, payment, and delivery terms.
  • Utilize local market intelligence to identify and develop potential suppliers in collaboration with category buyers.
  • Oversee down-payment processes, paper contracts, and outline agreements (OAs).
  • Manage synergy capture and supplier management across categories or sites as needed.

• Internal Business Partner Management:

  • Facilitate regular site service dialogs, drive site activity plans, and represent Procurement to site management.
  • Support coordination of site emergencies and address local compliance issues.
  • Maintain general knowledge of procurement classes and in-depth knowledge of site-related topics.
  • Act as the contact for site-specific Procurement topics and lead site-specific measures and projects.

• Bachelor Degree.
