Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the Japan General or Country Manager and the rest of the Japan leadership team in setting and achieving the company's financial and operating plans and targets
- Lead the annual budgeting and monthly and quarterly forecasting and review process
- Ensure financial data provided is accurate and meets reporting deadlines
- Manage key components of working capital, including accounts receivable, inventory, and accounts payable
- Drive a culture of integrity and compliance by ensuring financial information is prepared in accordance with US GAAP, JGAAP, SCIEX, or Danaher accounting policies and local statutory, tax, or legal requirements
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors to ensure support is provided to complete audit work and address findings timely
- Develop and lead the Japan finance team in providing excellent services by keeping team members engaged and providing necessary guidance and training opportunities
Requirements:
- More than 20 years of experience
- More than 10 years of experience in a managerial function
- More than 5 years of experience overseeing the entire finance function including accounting and FP&A
- Deep knowledge of USGAAP or JGAAP
- Expertise in MS Excel
- Experience in ERPs (Oracle and HFM, as well as Power BI) is advantageous
- Background in the life science industry is desirable
- Possess a valid CPA licence or equivalent is a plus
