Accounting Manager for global retailer

The Accounting Manager leads the accounts receivable team, overseeing invoice preparation, account reconciliation, and resolving discrepancies while ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and Japanese GAAP. Key responsibilities include managing cash collections, negotiating with CC companies and leading accounting projects such as ERP implementation,while fostering team development and maintaining efficient receivable processes.

Description

• Manages and maintains accounts receivable functions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Manages the cash collection and the arrangement of the change.
• Maintain and negotiate the contracts with the credit card companies and credit card terminals.
• Advise sales department to change the collection term and/or requires deposit from the customer
• Manage and build a strong team.
• Lead/support various accounting related projects. Example of upcoming project is ERP implementation.

• At least a Bachelor degree
• Fluent in Japanese and English at least on a business level
• At least 5+ years of experience in Accounting or similar roles, preferable in the retail industry (but not necessary)
