Moreover, we are a licensed capital management company in Germany where also our headquarter is located. With 200 employees worldwide with offices in the U.S., Canada, Germany, and the U.S., we rely on an international network of partners and providers to develop a pipeline of 5.9 GW of potential solar projects. Your role
The Expert/Manager Project Development focuses on successfully developing greenfield solar projects from inception to the handover to construction teams. Responsibilities encompass identifying and acquiring suitable land, navigating through the permitting process, overseeing feasibility studies and interacting with government agencies as well as local communities. As a team player you coordinate well, share information and enjoy meeting new people.

Your responsibilities

• Lead project execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Identify and acquire suitable land for solar parks
• Handle permitting processes
• Grow strong relationships with project stakeholders, mainly local government and communities
• Conduct thorough feasibility studies to evaluate the technical, environmental and financial viability of the project

• Location: Tokyo Office
• Employment Type: Full-time or part-time (min. 50%)
• Salary Range: 7.0-9.5m JPY
• Bonus: not applicable

Required skills and qualifications

• Knowledge of the solar industry and project development with at least five years’ experience.
• Work experience at a power generation company, general trading company, or real estate company is an advantage.
• Fluent Japanese. English is an advantage
• Ability to travel in Japan on a regular basis
• Proficient in MS Office and specialized project development tools
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
• Outgoing personality that is comfortable around people.
• Ability to effectively present information to various audiences
