【Job Description】 

Officially released in April 2019, the company's contract review platform is growing at an astounding rate, with the number of companies that have installed it surpassing 3,500 (as of December 2023), and more and more companies are interested in using it.
In addition, the AI contract management system has received a lot of positive feedback since its official release in January 2021, and the number of companies that have installed the system has exceeded 1000 (as of November 2023).

【Your Role】
The Document Intelligence team, which specializes in processing legal documents for clients, converts Microsoft Word, PDF, and other document files into text, performs semantic analysis, and extracts information.
The team also interacts with stakeholders in the development of a product for the US (LegalOn Review) and processes English-language contracts, so there will be opportunities to use English in your work.

■Mission / Issues
Enrich the user experience by using advanced algorithms and machine learning techniques to improve the accuracy of legal document digitization and semantic analysis.

■Responsibilities
- Design and development of algorithms and machine learning models for textualization of legal documents
- Development and operation of techniques for structural analysis and information extraction of legal documents
- Design and development of software architecture
- Development of Microservice APIs and applications for integration into our services
- Construction and operation of systems utilizing cloud infrastructure and databases

【Required】
- Master's or PhD in computer science, machine learning, natural language processing, statistics, information science or related field
- 5+ years of work experience as a software engineer or machine learning engineer, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Solid background in machine learning and deep understanding of specific domains, especially in natural language processing
- Strong understanding of one or more programming languages
- Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, databases and cloud technologies
- Language proficiency at the level of JLPT N1
- Ability to read and write English

【Preferred】
- Experience leading a team of at least 3 people through a series of processes from design, development, and implementation of a document processing system
- Excellent communicator, working with multiple departmental partners
- Experience with document processing and analysis of a variety of file formats
- Experience in document analysis, including document structuring and information extraction
- Experience developing and optimizing high-performance document processing systems
- Experience in people management activities, including training and evaluation of junior members
- Experience facilitating communications in a U.S. or other multi-time zone environment
