The Role

The role involves system setup, application development, technical support, and reviewing cross-functional operations to identify process bottlenecks.

• Analyze and redesign back-office processes with users, develop and implement new processes, and maintain updates in response to business environment changes.
• Business Analysis and Master Data Administration: Analyze reinsurance contracts and input parameters (risk, premiums, limitation values) into the main system.
• Participate in drafting reinsurance contracts and advise on establishing proper administration processes.
• Create risk and premium calculation sheets using Excel or PL/SQL, often collaborating with the IT team at the head office.
• Map data from client files to the main system using PL/SQL.
• Extract data from the main system, create reports, and provide PC/application support.
• Assist in solution provision, UAT support.

Your Skills

• 3+ years of experience as a business application engineer (designer, developer, or tester) within insurance.
• 3+ years of experience in end-user computing support, with direct user communication.
• Programming experience in Oracle PL/SQL.
• Experience in .NET, C#, Java, or T-SQL.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Access.
• Fluent or Native in Japanese, Business level English.
