FIREWALL ADMINISTRATOR

Main duties

• configuration & maintenance of firewall systems according to conceptual specifications:
  o Installation, configuration and updating of firewall hardware and software.
  o Setting up and integrating the firewall systems into the company network
  o Control of the firewall systems for efficient network segmentation
  o Development of mechanisms for firewall orchestration / automation
• monitoring and maintenance of the firewall infrastructure according to instructions:
  o Review of firewall logs, network traffic and events in the data traffic
  o Identification of potential security breaches
  o Regular security checks and audits of the firewall systems
• assisting in the development and implementation of security policies:
  o Implementing firewall policies and procedures
  o Securing network resources
  o Updating security policies to meet changing threats
• incident response and troubleshooting:
  o Responding to security incidents
  o Analysis of security breaches
  o Troubleshooting and diagnosing network problems
• collaboration between IT teams and business departments, cooperation with service providers

Profile

• Completed education & 2-year additional training,alternatively many years of professional experience in the field.
• Many years of professional experience in the field of firewall and network technologies
• Knowledge in the area of Next Generation Firewall
• Knowledge of network security desirable

Special skills

• Certifications or training in network security
• Knowledge of common security standards (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
• Know-How in WAN technologies (SD-WAN, Load-Balancing, BGP)
• Experience in VPN / Zero-Trust
• Good analytical skills and ability to identify and solve problems
• Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
• Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
