This is a strategic opportunity for an experienced internal audit professional to join a global financial institution's Quality Assurance & Methodology team. Based in Tokyo, the role supports methodology enhancement, quality reviews, and regulatory alignment in collaboration with regional audit hubs.

Description

  • Draft and update global audit methodology, templates, and guidance notes.
  • Deliver training and provide day-to-day support to auditors worldwide.
  • Execute quality assurance reviews and validate audit outcomes.
  • Conduct benchmarking against industry standards and regulatory guidance.
  • Support reporting to Audit Committees and executive stakeholders.
  • Contribute to performance metric development and dashboard enhancements.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of audit experience in financial services or Big 4 advisory.
  • Strong understanding of IIA standards, Basel papers, and audit regulation.
  • CIA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
  • Proven skills in audit methodology, quality assurance, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Bilingual communication skills: Native-level Japanese or English with strong fluency in the other.
  • Strong project management, attention to detail, and delivery focus.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to challenge and drive improvement.
  • High level of integrity and alignment with internal audit values.
