Description

• Lead Japan's Enterprise Risk function, overseeing all major risk categories.
• Set risk tolerance, define appetite metrics, and implement escalation protocols.
• Build, manage, and develop a team of risk professionals.
• Collaborate with business leaders and key control functions on risk strategy.
• Maintain and enhance Japan's Legal Entity Risk Management Framework.
• Oversee regulatory relationships and manage responses to regulatory exams.
• Chair or participate in risk committees to ensure effective governance.
• Provide effective challenge and advisory on critical business and risk decisions.
• Identify emerging risks and establish forward-looking control mechanisms.

• Strong Experience in enterprise risk or Operational Risk or similar functions.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese financial regulations and control frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience working with senior leaders across risk and business.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to connect disparate risks and design solutions.
• Fluent in both Japanese and English (verbal and written).
