Assistant Finance Manager, Global Securities Firm

Our client which is a global capital markets firm is seeking a qualified accounting candidate to join their team as an assistant manager. This role will report to the local Head of Finance but operate in a regional accounting team.

Our client is a financial service institution which specializes in equity broking, research, and asset management. They have an established business in Japan and works very closely with its regional and global counterparts.

Description

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Month-end closing and journal booking
• Process accounts payable (vendor invoice payments and cash journal entries)
• Perform policy check on employees T&E claims
• Perform daily regulatory capital calculations
• Perform daily bank reconciliation
• Assist in both external and internal audits
• Participate in and contribute to various projects
• Support the finance team in various ad-hoc assignments

A successful Assistant Finance Manager should have:

• A minimum of 5 years work experience in financial institutions or experience working with financial institutions
• Professional accountancy qualifications (highly preferred)
• Strong commercial acumen
• Fluent level English communication skills and Native Level Japanese communication skills
