Description

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Cybersecurity Lead to join our Japan office. In this role, you will play a key part in executing and maintaining cybersecurity operations in alignment with both global security standards and Japan's local compliance requirements. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day threat monitoring, incident response, and security infrastructure support, while collaborating closely with the global security team and internal stakeholders across departments.

• Lead and manage local cybersecurity operations, ensuring systems, networks, and data are secured against internal and external threats.

• Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity incidents; perform root cause analysis and coordinate incident handling with the global SOC.

• Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify risk exposures; follow up with remediation and prevention strategies.

• Work with IT and Engineering teams to implement secure configurations, patches, and infrastructure changes in line with corporate policies.

• Maintain and manage endpoint protection, network security devices (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS), and security event logging systems.

• Support regulatory and compliance needs in Japan, including coordination with legal and compliance teams to address data privacy and security-related requirements.

• Conduct security awareness sessions and provide training to internal employees to promote a security-conscious culture.

• Assist in local implementation of global security policies, and tailor them as needed for the Japan market.

MUST

• Chinese Language (Fluent or above level)
• English or Japanese skill
• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity
• Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and/or incident response.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO27001, NIST, etc.
• Experience working with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and/or threat intelligence platforms.
