Job Description
A Japanese automation company is seeking an experienced J/E Bilingual Electrical Engineer., in Lexington, KY.
Salary Range: $90,000〜
Skills: Japanese/English Bilingual Skills + At least 5yrs experience in the field
We will support E visa for the qualified candidate!
Current E visa holders are also welcome.
Work with a team of talented Controls and Mechanical Engineers to develop automation solutions. Our engineers ensure that customer satisfaction, quality, standards, and safety are at the forefront of our systems. Our Electrical Controls Engineers primarily work on the programming of PLCs, HMIs, robotics, etc. and schematic design. You will work with the latest technologies in the industry and have the opportunity for professional growth while developing advanced systems.
Responsibilities:
- AutoCAD Electrical design.
- PLC programming.
- Project management.
- Customer interaction for scope and specification meetings will be required.
- Some Sales and Marketing activities.
- Senior staff will provide guidance and support in activities until comfortable.
- Opportunities to work with machine vision, robotics, AGVs, and more.

Required Skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field OR 3-year degree pertaining specifically to automation and controls plus 5 years direct experience in Controls Automation design.
- AutoCAD or other CAD experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of PLC programming.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
- Organization and attention to details are a must.
- Flexible schedule and willing to work outside of Kentucky when required.
- Travel is approximately 20%.
- Japanese/English Bilingual Skills MUST.
Experience in any of the below would be considered a plus in selecting a candidate:
- PLC experience with Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen-Bradley.
- HMI experience with Omron NS and NA, Mitsubishi GOT, or Allen-Bradley Panelview.
- Software experience with CX One, Sysmac Studio, GX Developer, GX Works, Studio 5000, or AutoCAD Electrical.
- NFPA 79 working knowledge and familiarity with NFPA 70e.
- Knowledge of risk assessments, defining performance levels and safety categories.
