Leadership and Team Management: Manage and lead the manufacturing team, including production operators and technicians. Provide guidance, support, and coaching to team members.
Production Scheduling: Develop and oversee production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to production targets.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to maintain high product quality standards. Ensure that all products meet specifications and quality requirements.
Engineering Team Leadership: Lead the engineering team to high levels of performance and ensure effective and efficient project management processes, ensuring the voice of the customer is inherent in all design efforts.
Safety Protocols: Promote and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct safety audits and investigations as necessary.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and work with the inventory control team to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager to implement efficiency-enhancing measures.
Training and Development: Oversee training and development of manufacturing personnel, including cross-training to ensure a versatile workforce.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed to prevent downtime.
Budget Management: Manage the manufacturing budget by controlling costs, optimizing resource allocation, and minimizing waste.
Cross-functional Communication: Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Engineering, and Maintenance, to ensure a seamless production process.
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Operations Management) or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 8 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety procedures. Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP systems)
