Job Overview: As part of the R&D centre of the organization, the individual will work with full product lifecycle development, focusing on CAD of fine-mechanical constructions. The job includes development and evaluation of mechanical, optical, and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting trial programs, applying principles of mechanics, thermal mechanics, hydraulics, heat transfer and materials. Documentation is prepared for
manufacturing sourcing and production departments, such as drawings and bills of material.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical design work according to company standards – prepare documentation for production, e.g. drawings and bills of material.
Development of fine-mechanical constructions in products and systems with CAD/SolidEdge.
Work according to priorities set by the mechanical group manager, with ability to structure and self-organize.
Manage schedules and quality requirements
Design and make technical calculations for mechanical constructions according to relevant pressure boundary directives, ASME and PED.
Contribute in planning and evaluation of laboratory and field trials of components and products.
Lead projects occasionally, in a lean development environment, with daily cadence
Work and lead activities directly with sub-suppliers
Contribute to optimize existing constructions regarding quality, functionality, user friendliness, and design for manufacturing
Actively search and suggest solutions for mechanical design problems
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
Mechanical engineering degree M.Sc or similar.
Minimum 5 years work experience from fine-mechanical design
High level of experience and skills in drafting drawings for machining
Good understanding of manufacturing processses
Ability and interest in taking on new challenges and actively search for solutions
Proficiency in CAD tools and PDM/PLM systems.
Good command of English, both verbal and written
Good communication skills and multicultural understanding
Able to work both autonomously and within a team
