・Have at least 5 years of experience in the offshore industry and experience with foundations (monopiles and jackets) or similar (preferably with at least one year in offshore renewable energy).
・Have experience and knowledge of the foundation and project certification by international and Japanese standards especially seismic design.
・Have experience of and the ability to communicate and represent the interests of company with senior external stakeholders including certification and classification societies, primary with ClassNK as well as with the DNV, Bureau Veritas and other statutory bodies.
・Provide foundation package input to all phases of the project development.
・Provide support to the development of the technical portion of the foundation package requirements including technical specifications and support supply chain and EPCI engagement.
・Work closely with the QA/QC team to define test and inspection requirements.
・Have understanding of the Japanese standards regarding foundation design for offshore wind farms and market specificalities.
・Lead the discussion with designer, partner and certification body.
・Lead the foundation technical aspect of the bid preparation and support other technical aspects related to his/her work.
・Demonstrated technical competency in structural engineering discipline with broad understanding of the applicable International and Japanese codes and standards for this Scope of Work, especially seismic design.

・5+ years’ experience of project design stages (Conceptual, Pre-FEED, Detailed Design).
・5+ years of relevant experience with offshore structures.
・Understanding of the interfaces and interaction with supporting engineering disciplines for the scope of this package, particularly geotechnical and geophysical.
・Understand technical risk identification and management processes to deliver safe and competitive projects.
・Experience of previous round bid preparation.
・Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across functions and within multi-disciplinary teams.
・Understand Quality Management process for engineering, manufacture and installation.
・Understand technical aspects of competitive procurement processes.
・Ability in performance management of others (including. 3rd party engineering services providers) to support timely decision-making.
・Experience of construction, installation, and operations support.
・Native level Japanese and business level English.
