■Position Overview / ポジション概要
We are looking for a Backend Engineerto join the LINE Platform team responsible for designing developing testing and operating backend systems for LINE messaging services and LINE Official Accounts. This position offers the opportunity to handle large scale distributed systems processing hundreds of billions of messages per day playing a key role in the infrastructure of one of the most widely used communication platforms.
バックエンドエンジニアとして、LINEメッセージングサービスおよびLINE公式アカウントのバックエンドシステムの設計、開発、テスト、運用を担当していただきます。このポジションでは、1日に数百億のメッセージを処理する大規模分散システムを扱い、世界で最も利用されるコミュニケーションプラットフォームの基盤を支える重要な役割を担います。


■Job Responsibilities / 業務内容
・Develop and maintain the backend system for LINE messaging servicesand LINE Official Accounts.
・Design and implement high performance APIsto support large scale communication services.
・ Develop data storage solutionsoptimized for scalability and distributed processing.
・ Continuously enhance the performance scalability and architectureof the LINE platform to meet evolving business requirements.
・ Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve platform reliability security and efficiency.
・ Implement monitoring logging and alerting mechanismsto ensure system stability and quick issue resolution.

■Required Skills Experience / 必須要件
・3+ years of experience in backend development using JVM based languages （Java Kotlin Scala） or C/C++.
・Experience in operating and maintaining production systemsin Linux/Unix environments.
・ Hands on experience with database operations（MySQL Redis HBase Cassandra Elasticsearch etc.）.
・3年以上のバックエンド開発経験（Java Kotlin Scala などのJVM言語またはC/C++）
・Linux/Unix環境でのプロダクションシステム運用経験
・データベース運用経験（MySQL Redis HBase Cassandra Elasticsearchなど）


■Preferred Skills Experience / 歓迎要件
・ Experience in designing and developing high traffic server applications and databases.
・ Knowledge of JVM tuning and monitoring.
・ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
・Business level proficiency in English （reading and writing）.
・ Speaking ability in either business level English or Japanese.
・高トラフィック環境におけるサーバーアプリケーションおよびデータベースの設計・開発経験
・ JVMのチューニング・モニタリングの知識
・ コンピュータサイエンスまたは関連分野の学士号・修士号
・ビジネスレベルの英語（読み書き）
・ ビジネスレベルの英語または日本語での会話能力
