Our client is a well-established insurance company with a growing presence in Japan. They are expanding their risk management team to strengthen governance and enhance investment risk oversight.

Description

• Implement the company's risk management framework and support the first-line teams.
• Assist in stress scenario development for ORSA reporting.
• Ensure compliance with economic solvency regulations and ESR verification.
• Monitor ALM, market risk, and credit risk for investment activities.
• Evaluate risk for new investment opportunities and verify first-line risk management frameworks.
• Conduct asset assessments and oversee provisioning and impairment testing.
• Collaborate with internal risk, actuarial, and investment teams.
• Develop and refine risk management policies and regulatory frameworks.
• Manage risk committee operations and support company-wide risk initiatives.
• Assist with operational risk management, particularly in financial functions.

• University degree with experience in risk management, ALM, or investment risk in insurance.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Business-level English (mainly for reading and writing).
• Proficiency in Excel VBA and Bloomberg.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Passed actuarial exam subjects.
• Knowledge and practical experience in stochastic risk management.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and find solutions beyond issue identification
