Job Description

Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic vehicle layout plans aligned with overall product development goals, in accordance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
  • Create detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to ensure layout strategies align with functional and manufacturability objectives.
  • Utilize established packaging standards to ensure product quality and manufacturability.
  • Investigate and analyze packaging challenges and propose innovative solutions to improve vehicle performance and efficiency
  • Verifying that all components within the layout fit together without interference, considering tolerances and manufacturing limitations
  • Perform advanced 3D modeling, data collection, and drawing generation using CATIA to create precise packaging layouts.
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports to communicate design intent and manufacturing requirements.
  • Reviewing physical prototypes to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement

Required Skills

Key Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle design principles, including ergonomics, safety, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in CATIA 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve design challenges.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with MS office tools like Excel, PPT
  • Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage project timelines and workstreams effectively

Additional Requirements

Prior experience in vehicle interior or underfloor layout planning is highly desirable, as this knowledge contributes to efficient design and packaging solutions
