Backend Engineer - Generative AI - Full Remote & Flex Time

A major cutting edge generative AI company in Tokyo is looking to fill one of a kind role. They're seeking a Backend Engineer to work on a new LLM business from scratch where you're deeply involved in decision making on technology stacks selection and architecture.
 
You would be involved in the full life-cycle of product development on Generative AI. As such you will be exposed to cutting-edge LLM technology earlier than anywhere in the world and implement it directly into society.

Currently have over 100 employees and are actively expanding in 2025. Having a Silicon Valley workstyle, giving you complete control over how and when you work.

4.) Requirements

• More than 3 years of engineering experience
• Experience in development using Python
• Experience in service development/operations using AWS and Azure

5.) Nice to have

• Experience in the development/operation of in-house developed services for customers
• Experience in machine learning experiments, model management, data management, and building training/inference pipelines using AWS
• Experience in development/operation using Terraform
• Experience in a leadership position, understanding the business background, and independently planning and executing initiatives
