• Preparation, examination, and declaration of air and sea import and export declaration documents
• Confirmation of product details to customers
• Customs response such as customs question-and-answer sessions, customs inspection attendance, and posting of declaration documents
• Import and export quarantine procedures (animal quarantine, plant quarantine, food notification)
• Main products: machinery, electronic equipment, pharmaceuticals, fresh foods, apparel, etc

A successful Customs Clearance Senior/Staff should have:

• A relevant educational background in logistics or related field.
• Those who have a customs clearance qualification (those who have no practical experience are also possible)
• Those who have at least one year of customs clearance work experience even if they do not have a customs broker qualification
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members.
• Problem-solving ability to resolve customs-related issues
• Fluent Japanese. Those who have the English reading comprehension skills necessary for customs clearance (high English proficiency is not required)
