Job Description

Company & Job Overview
A rapidly growing semiconductor industry company in Penang mainland is seeking for a Finance manager (Fixed asset) to help the business to oversee and managing a company’s fixed assets, such as real estate, equipment, and other tangible assets. This role requires at least 10 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and Reporting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial accounting functions, including the review of journal entries and reporting.

  • Manage the timely and accurate monthly close processes and daily operations for global entities in line with US GAAP, while ensuring statutory financials are properly maintained.

  • Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with GAAP, as well as international and local financial and tax reporting regulations.

  • Maintain SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, keeping documentation up-to-date, and providing recommendations as needed.
    Identify and mitigate risks or fraud with appropriate controls and solutions.

  • Lead and drive process improvements, automation, standardization, and other assigned projects or tasks.

  • Engage proactively with partners to resolve challenges and recommend necessary improvements and solutions.

 

Job Requirements
 

  • Degree in Finance/Accounting, or professional qualifications such as CA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.

  • Over 10 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and Reporting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Preferred experience in shared services, particularly in fixed assets, and/or audit.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and local accounting standards.

  • Proven team player with experience in dynamic organizations and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge the status quo when necessary.

  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of business principles and practices.

  • Demonstrated success in team development, process efficiency, quality improvement, and financial innovation.

  • Maintain a positive customer service focus for both internal and external customers, including audit and statutory engagements.

  • Agile and flexible in handling ad hoc tasks, projects, and challenges.
