Job Description

Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Location: Worldwide, China perfrred(Company can help relocate)

Job Summary: The CTO will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of our electron microscopy product line. This role involves strategic planning, technology development, and ensuring the alignment of technology with the company’s business goals. The CTO will lead a 60-person R&D team and collaborate with internal and external Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to develop new products and update our product line.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the company’s technology strategy for electron microscopy products.
  • Lead and manage a 60-person R&D team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of new technologies and ensure they align with business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external KOLs to identify and prioritize technology initiatives.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the company’s data and IT infrastructure.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements in electron microscopy.
  • Manage the technology budget and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the R&D team.
Qualifications: (Meet more than two of the following)
  • Senior researchers, professors and experts in universities/research institutes engaged in the fields of electron optics, ion optics, particle accelerator, charged particle physics, etc. are preferred; (doctoral degree or above)
  • More than 5 years of experience in research of electron optical imaging components and systems with representative research results;
     
  • Having more than 5 years of research experience in electron microscopy methodology and sub-nanometer micro-imaging with representative research results ; 
  • At least 10 years of experience in the design and fabrication of instruments for electron/ion optical systems, and the ability to use mainstream computational software (MEBs, Cosy, COP, SIMION, etc.) for optical properties computation and design;
  • Experience in core R&D or management of large-scale projects such as scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, focused ion beam, semiconductor measurement equipment, and particle accelerator;
  • 5 years of experience in senior R&D and management positions at ZESIS, JOEL, Thermo, Hitach, Tescan, KLA, Applied Materials, etc. is preferred;
  • Worked at Research Center Juelich, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kie, The Czech Academy of Sciences, National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, Pacific Northwest National Lab, AIF NC State University, California Institute of Technology, Nihon University, CEOS GmbH, European Molecular Biology Laboratory, etc. Experts and scholars engaged in electro-optical research are preferred
