【Facilities Manager】Global Leader in the Energy Sector

Job Description

Our client is a Global Leader in the energy sector, the forefront of enabling the global transition to a more sustainable, digital, and low-carbon energy future.

 

About the Role:

Manage all facilities and sites in Japan, ensuring that all leased or owned properties are properly maintained with proactive measures, operating with zero safety risks, and that all service lines are delivered in accordance with agreed SLAs with stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the annual budget for facility operations, incorporating business forecasts and actual demand. Prepare justifications and business cases to secure internal approvals for investments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for real estate-related matters. Ensure timely communication with stakeholders and end-users to address new requirements and coordinate project execution with relevant teams.
  • Space and Energy Optimization: Conduct analysis and benchmarking to enhance space utilization and energy efficiency. Propose green energy initiatives that align with the organization’s decarbonization objectives.
  • Safety Leadership: In collaboration with the Country Health and Safety Manager, ensure all construction activities comply with safety protocols to eliminate risks and hazards.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in corporate real estate or facility management, with a strong understanding of the manufacturing industry. Previous experience with multinational clients and integrated facility management (IFM) services is preferred.
  • Expertise in full-cycle asset management, including site selection, lease management, design, and construction. Experience in preparing Statements of Requirements (SOR) and technical specifications is highly valued. A background in civil engineering, mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP), or facility management is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in English with advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to travel as required.
