Job Description

Company and Job Overview
Our clients are a leading distributor of IT products and solutions, well established for over 25 years in Malaysia. They are currently seeking a Pre-Sales Product Specialist experienced in the IT industry to join their team. This role will be based in Klang and would require occasional travel.

 

Job Responsibilities
 

  • Offer pre-sales support, showcasing products and network solutions.

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities.

  • Present and promote technical solutions to clients through formal proposals and presentations.

  • Understand client requirements and design competitive product solutions tailored to client needs.

  • Address and resolve client inquiries and technical issues providing technical support and highlight product offerings.

  • Follow up on and resolve support inquiries from customers, partners, and colleagues.

  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.

  • Engage with customers to identify their needs and translate these into tailored solutions.

  • Conduct audits of customer IT infrastructure to identify and address weaknesses.

  • Prepare technical proposals and presentations to communicate value proposition.

  • Offer technical expertise throughout the sales process for successful product implementation.

  • Demonstrate products comprehensively during pre-sales.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, providing ongoing support.

  • Assist the sales team with opportunity qualification through technical support.

  • Collaborate with the R&D team to gather feedback and enhance products.

  • Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and exhibitions.

  • Support daily operations and perform ad-hoc tasks as required.

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in understanding customer needs, proposing solutions, and delivering presentations.

  • Experience in gathering market trends and insights through regular dealer visits.

  • Skills in evaluating product performance, gathering customer feedback, and iterating on product features.

  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand & present complex solutions.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, Malay and Mandarin.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Willingness to travel and participate in industry events.
