An established medium-sized company based in Jena with a history of over 30 years and part of a global group with production sites in Germany, Japan, and the USA is currently looking for a Cylindrical and Thread Grinding Technician (m/f/d). This company supplies products for drive technology to various industries including machinery, semiconductor, optics, medical technology, aerospace, and many others.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Machining of shafts of various lengths

• External cylindrical grinding of ball screw spindles on conventional cylindrical grinding machines with varying center distances

• Independent setup and preparation of measuring tools according to drawing specifications

• Independent and responsible measurement and inspection of all required functional dimensions

• Preparation of the product for further processing steps

• Cleaning and preservation of the machined workpieces

• Manufacturing of thread starts

• Maintenance and care of the equipment

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Successfully completed technical training as a cutting machine operator, tool mechanic, or industrial mechanic, or interest in further developing your previously acquired skills

• Enjoyment in machining surfaces of workpieces and precision grinding

• Ability to read, understand, and implement technical drawings

• Capability to work independently and responsibly

• Independent, structured, and meticulous working style

• High level of commitment and team spirit

• Willingness to work in a three-shift system
