About the Project Manager Role:
The role involves assisting the Managing Director in leading construction and fabrication teams, ensuring safe work procedures, and monitoring project operations for timely and cost-effective completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Managing Director in leading the construction and fabrication teams to ensure smooth execution of work.
Implement safe work procedures at all times.
Conduct regular site meetings with the team and liaise with the main contractor on safety and site regulation issues.
Monitor project operations closely to ensure completion within the project schedule and budget, considering construction methodology and feasibility of construction sequences.
Provide daily updates on project progress to the team and management, attend site meetings, and monitor daily work processes.
Organize resources (e.g., manpower, machinery, equipment, work materials) for projects.
Perform other related duties as allocated in line with project progress.
To succeed in this role, maintain strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and liaise with contractors, ensuring safety and compliance. Stay organized and proactive in monitoring project progress, resource allocation, and problem-solving to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
Key Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of relevant local work experience in the structural steel work/construction industry.
Experience in MRT projects is an advantage.
Strong leadership qualities and ability to lead a team.
Good interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work at various sites as required.
