COMPANY OVERVIEW
One of our clients, specializing in strategic communications, management, and technology consulting for global, regional, and national public and private organizations across Rising Asia, is seeking a Senior Video Editor and Visual Storyteller in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in designing successful public affairs campaigns, with a focus on video work preferably someone who can film and edit independently. Responsibilities include developing impactful video content, planning and editing high-quality videos, and ensuring consistency with client branding across various platforms.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Video Content Creation
Collaborate with managers and senior leadership to create impactful video content for client objectives and internal communications.
Plan, film, and edit high-quality videos, including promotional materials, interviews, and campaign assets.
Produce video content focused on public affairs, advocacy, and high-profile campaigns.
Conceptualize storylines, create compelling narratives, and ensure consistency with client and the company branding.
Edit videos for various platforms, ensuring optimal quality and adherence to platform-specific requirements (e.g., social media, web, presentations).
Creative Direction and Adaptability
Develop video storyboards and collaborate on creative direction with internal teams.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to keep video content innovative and engaging.
Work independently on end-to-end video production, from pre-production planning to post-production editing and final delivery.
Use creative problem-solving to meet project challenges and deadlines, adapting to changing requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Diploma or Degree in Film Production, Multimedia Design, Visual Arts, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Video Editor or similar role, with proficiency in camera operation and filming.
Preferred experience in public affairs or advocacy-related projects.
Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro); knowledge of After Effects and other motion graphics tools is a plus.
Strong eye for composition and detail in filming and camera operation.
Excellent understanding of visual storytelling and pacing.
Collaborative with strong project management skills and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Flexibility to work long hours and adapt to evolving project needs.
