PR/158049 | Chief Resident Engineer (Highway Project)

COMPANY OVERVIEW

One of the largest Highway Concessionarie in Malaysia are looking for experienced Chief Resident Engineer to add value to lead a highway construction project and be based in Kuala Lumpur  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management: 

• Provide strategic leadership and establish project plans, timetables, budgets, and resource allocations to guarantee efficient delivery within limitations.

Quality and Construction Supervision:

• Oversee the supervision of works for the project construction, including earthworks, road pavement, structures, drainage, and utilities

• To ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements for C&S and M&E 

• Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits, and compliance checks to verify the quality of construction, adherence to standards, and implementation of best practices.

• Review and approve claims by subcontractors, construction methodologies, work procedures, materials, and equipment to maintain project quality and integrity. 

Safety & Compliance:

• Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations to reduce construction and site risks.

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, permits, and approvals governing the highway project, including environmental, safety, and quality standards.

Stakeholder Engagement & Contract management 

• Act as the main contact for clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders, developing constructive relationships, addressing issues, and resolving conflicts.

• Track and manage project expenses, expenditures, and financial performance, applying cost-control measures and change management processes as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Professional Engineer (PE) . 

• Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (PEPC) is preferred.

• Minimum 15 years of experience in civil engineering and construction management with experience in expressway/highway projects.
