The Role

• You will be in charge of the backend of their main application, which handles tens of billions of messages per day.
• You will be responsible for everything from the design, development, testing and post-release operation
• You will be responsible for developing and improving the platform that handles significant and massive traffic in order to sustainably operate it with more efficient resources, while also developing and supporting the backend that creates greater value for people
• You will design API and development of server-side functions for messaging, social graph services and family services
• You will design data structure and development for large-volume data storage with a focus on scale and distributed processing
• You will support continuous improvement of the structure, performance and scalability of the platform, and creating a technical vision for a system that can flexibly respond to diverse business requirements.

Your Skills

• You are either fluent in Japanese or English
• You have strong experience working on large scale systems with millions of users
• Server-side development experience
• You are subject matter of expert with Java as programming language
• You are experienced in operating production systems in Linux/Unix environments
• You have hands-on experience with database operations (MySQL, Redis, HBase, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, etc.)
