Software Engineer

Company Profile

• Our client is an "engineering-first" tech startup.
• More than 80% of the company are software engineers and around 50% of their members (including CEO and CTO) have international backgrounds.
• They are mainly challenging themselves to modernize mission-critical systems that are essential to society and companies, such as next-generation core banking systems and payment platforms.
• First, they will solve social issues by utilizing cloud-native technology, mainly in the FinTech field, and in the future they would like to use the knowledge they have cultivated in fields such as HealthcareTech and GovernmentTech.

The Role

• Work with development teams to devise software solutions
• Design and implementation of client-side and server-side architectures
• Development and management of functionally superior systems, databases and applications
• Maintain high standards and write APIs and idiomatic code
• Test software to ensure maintainability, responsiveness and efficiency
• Software troubleshooting, debugging and upgrades
• Understanding and applying security and data protection best practices
• Preparation of technical documentation
• Languages: Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, C#, etc.
• Frameworks: Spring, Vue.js, Nuxt.js, .NET Framework, etc.
• Cloud: AWS, GCP, or Azure

Your Skills

• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer or similar role
• Business level Japanese (N2 or above)
• Experience with the following frameworks or languages:
• Java, C#, Typescript, Golang
• Spring (Java or Kotlin)
• js or Nuxt.js or Quasar
