Quantity Surveyor

  • Proven Success in Malaysia: The company has successfully completed more than 50 projects in Malaysia, including residential, commercial, warehouse, factory, industrial, and major infrastructure developments.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Work in conjunction with suppliers and subcontractors to guarantee that information, expenses, profitability, and value satisfy each project's specifications. 

  • Visit the location to gather information and develop a project for upcoming work. 

  • Quantity taking, BQ drafting, and cost analysis and preparation for future job tenders. 

  • Discuss claims and costs in between contracts and bids. 

  • Estimate or price the cost of the various materials that will be required for the project. 

  • Monitor modifications to the construction or design process and make the necessary adjustments to the budget forecasts. 

  • Attend clarifications/tender interviews. 

  • Choose and/or procure building supplies. 

  • Assess the work that is done on the job site. 

  • Meet the deadlines set by the client by preparing and processing quotations, bids, and proposals. 

  • Whatever additional pertinent supporting tasks that the management may occasionally designate.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • A building technology or quantity surveying degree, diploma, or certificate. 

  • 3 years minimum of experience in a similar sector (building, restoration, interior design). 

  • Recognize the terms and procedures used in contracts. 

  • Competent in law and well-versed in project costing as well as pre- and post-contract administration. 

  • Able to communicate effectively and coordinate with subcontractors and consultants. 

  • Possess a vehicle of your own.
