A significant player of ferroalloy is looking for a Laboratory Manager who is experienced in chemical analysis of metals and testing of metallurgical to be based at their Sarawak plant.
Job Responsibilities
Provide leadership for organization and focus for the development and enhancement of Quality Management System including integration of work processes
Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods
Consistently align globally with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 certifications for any new laboratory in plant/site to meet customers’ expectations
Lead in investigation, root cause analysis of non-conformance quality issue internally, coordinate and deal with deviations in time
Manage customer audits, improve analysis accuracy and develop KPI to measure quality performance
Job Requirements
Degree in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering/ Metallurgy field or equivalent
10 – 15 years’ experience in quality management, chemical analysis of metals, testing of metallurgical fields like smelting plant, sponge iron and ferro alloys
Preferable with ICP analysis experience (wet analysis)
Well-verse of testing instruments and ISO 9001 standard requirements
Ability to work with people of diverse cultures
Good problem-solving, organizing and analyzing skills
