PR/157990 | Laboratory Manager

A significant player of ferroalloy is looking for a Laboratory Manager who is experienced in chemical analysis of metals and testing of metallurgical to be based at their Sarawak plant.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for organization and focus for the development and enhancement of Quality Management System including integration of work processes

• Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods

• Consistently align globally with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 certifications for any new laboratory in plant/site to meet customers’ expectations

• Lead in investigation, root cause analysis of non-conformance quality issue internally, coordinate and deal with deviations in time

• Manage customer audits, improve analysis accuracy and develop KPI to measure quality performance

Job Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering/ Metallurgy field or equivalent 

• 10 – 15 years’ experience in quality management, chemical analysis of metals, testing of metallurgical fields like smelting plant, sponge iron and ferro alloys 

• Preferable with ICP analysis experience (wet analysis)

• Well-verse of testing instruments and ISO 9001 standard requirements

• Ability to work with people of diverse cultures

• Good problem-solving, organizing and analyzing skills
