Job Description

Senior Costing Analyst
A rapidly growing MNC in Bayan Lepas is looking for Senior Costing Analyst role to be part of their team. You will be a key part of helping the business to oversee the daily operations of the Costing Section.
 
Main responsibilities of the Senior Costing Analyst role  
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Costing Section.
  • Prepare and maintain costing reports for monthly financial results.
  • Manage the inventory sub-ledger and reconcile it with the General Ledger for statutory compliance and SOX reporting.
  • Prepare and present timely and accurate reports on actual vs. budget, forecasts, variances, overheads, and manufacturing performance.
  • Calculate costs for new products and collaborate with Engineering and Document Control to ensure BOM accuracy.
  • Assist in annual budget preparation, semi-annual forecasting, and compilation of the master budget with input from all departments.
  • Monitor and track cost-saving initiatives.
  • Supervise daily administrative functions, including data provision for various reports.
  • Develop and implement ABC methods for daily store counts, work with the Store on accuracy controls, and organize annual physical inventory counts.
  • Compile and analyze quarterly E&O reports to ensure provisions for slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
  • Validate costing data for ad hoc and Six Sigma projects.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the inventory sub-ledger and perform monthly reconciliations with the General Ledger.
  • Present KEM/KIPC financial reports and departmental expenses to the operations team monthly.
  • Prepare for external audit requirements and serve as an internal auditor for SOX and compliance audits.


    Key Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or related fields.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Experiences in Costing, FP&A or inventory background
