JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Create, monitor, and manage project budgets. To stay on budget, ensure that all costs are tracked and efficiently controlled.
· Create detailed cost estimates for building projects that include materials, labor, and equipment. Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and help the Contracts Manager with pre- and post-contract tasks.
· Analyze costs and offer detailed updates on project progress and financial results. Identify and manage any financial risks.
· Help with the procurement process by preparing tender documents, assessing bids, and selecting contractors and suppliers.
· Perform values for intermediate and final payments. Ensure that payments are processed accurately and timely.
· Maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Communicate the project's financial condition and answer any concerns.
· Ensure that every work meets applicable legal, regulatory, and professional standards.
· Work closely with project managers, engineers, QS Contract Manager, and other team members to ensure accurate cost management and project delivery.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
· 8-10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the construction infrastructure industry.
· Proficient in relevant software tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, MS Project).
· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
· BQSM (Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia) certification
· Proficiency in Malay and English is essential, while Mandarin proficiency is optional.
