REGIONAL LOGISTICS MANAGER (APAC)
An exciting opportunity for Regional Logistics Manager (APAC) has just been made available within our client in the chemical manufacturing industry here in Singapore. You will be reporting to the Global Head of Logistics Management, with a responsibility to oversee 12 countries within APAC region.
About the Regional Logistics Manager (APAC) Role:
In this role, your main responsibility is to create and implement logistics vision, strategy, policies, best practices, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. Besides this, you will also be accountable for maximizing supply chain efficiency, effectiveness, and cost optimization to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business environment by partnering with the region’s entities.
Key Responsibilities:
To lead plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers
Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service Review the impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes, or carriers, and report results to others; establish value-adding metrics to track performance and reliability of transportation and services
Work closely with the global logistics team and with the senior leadership team to support and drive the global logistics actively.
Interpret trends and analyze and review data via effective data analytics. Provide meaningful logistics data and trends to others in the organization to aid customer service and cost improvements
To provide excellent leadership to build a more cohesive and dynamic logistics function and inspire them to contribute further to the business profitably and sustainably.
To be successful in this role, you need to have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in a total supply chain capacity that involves procurement and logistics management in the chemical industry.
Key Requirements:
Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics Management or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in printing ink, chemical ink, textile ink or related industry
Extensive regional experience
Excellent knowledge of commercial agreements and logistics management at a regional level
Strategic, analytical, and sound financial acumen with the ability to optimize data analytics to interpret information & translate it into business strategies to achieve effective cost management
Good project management skills, result-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent people management, influencing, and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
