About the Process Engineer Role:
The Process Engineer optimizes manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. Key responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting processes, implementing improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support production goals. This role is essential to maintaining reliable operations and meeting company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to the Manufacturing team to ensure efficient operations within the production area and the achievement of production targets
Optimize current processes and maintain production goals on an hourly, daily, monthly, and annual basis
Monitor equipment, machinery, and tools to address issues that impact product quality, yield, or cause non-conformance
Collaborate with Quality Assurance and R&D teams to integrate new products or processes into the manufacturing environment
Ensure manufacturing production requirements are met, including utility and engineering support
Manage projects related to manufacturing equipment design, focusing on delivering high-quality results
Oversee the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods and operations for both new and existing products
Ensure efficient use of materials, equipment, and personnel to produce high-quality products at optimal operating costs
Maintain compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures
Initiate and complete technical activities for new or improved products and processes, aligning with company goals and objectives
Prepare reports, publish findings, and present results to communicate progress and insights
Collaborate with Engineering on the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
Develop, document, and maintain controlled, repeatable production processes and create operating procedures for manufacturing personnel
Lead and participate in qualification and validation activities, including developing validation protocols
Work with other departments and suppliers to address and resolve root causes, integrating business policies and procedures into task execution
Demonstrate an understanding of the company’s business needs and knowledge of customer requirements
Cultivate a network of internal and external resources to complete tasks effectively.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
To succeed as a Process Engineer, develop strong technical skills, embrace data-driven decision-making, and focus on continuous improvement. Effective communication, problem-solving, and adherence to safety and quality standards are also essential for maintaining reliable and efficient operations.
Key Requirements:
Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
At least 3 years of experience process engineering within chemical manufacturing or biopharma
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Proficient in SAP systems with strong project management skills
Capable of making quick decisions and responding efficiently to changing situations
