Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. As a Cost Accountant in our automotive manufacturing division, you will play a key role in analyzing costs, preparing budget reports, and ensuring financial transparency within our operations. Your insights and recommendations will directly impact our cost efficiency and profitability in the highly competitive automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
Perform cost analysis for materials, labor, and overheads related to automotive manufacturing processes.
Develop and maintain standard costing models for products and components.
Analyze variances between standard costs and actual production costs, providing explanations and recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with procurement, production, and engineering teams to optimize costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to manufacturing costs and variances.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with operational goals and financial targets.
Conduct regular inventory evaluations and reconcile inventory accounts to ensure accuracy.
Participate in internal audits and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction projects across the manufacturing operations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as a Cost Accountant in automotive manufacturing or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in manufacturing operations.
Good communication in English
