A global startup company that provides a software/hardware platform to enable a carbon-neutral society through the development of batteries, which are core components of electric vehicles is looking for a LLM/ML Engineer & Team Management (m/f/d) in Stuttgart.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The role involves leading the LLM/MS design, development, and maintenance of our upcoming software. We are looking for a motivated and innovative AI Software Engineer with extensive research and hands-on experience in Large Language Models (LLM) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about testing and iterating rapidly, exploring new ideas, and pushing the limits of what is possible in AI technology, while also expanding and managing the team to achieve our goals.

• Design and develop retrieval-based QA (Question Answering) systems utilizing machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) techniques, with a focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

• Maintain and improve our existing AI product

• Management and leadership of teams and projects

• Implement algorithms that can efficiently search and retrieve information from large datasets or databases.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must have:

• Extensive research and hands-on experience in LLM and RAG

• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and related frameworks

• Creative problem-solver with a passion for innovation

• Practical experience in software development (version control, code review, CI/CD, etc.)

• Team management experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field

Nice to have:

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Practical experience with MLOps
